Eleven local players make ASWA All-State football teams

Hartselle (11-1) and Priceville (10-2) dominated the local football landscape this past season. Players from those teams were rewarded for their efforts as ASWA All-State selections.

Hartselle led the way with six players chosen. Senior offensive lineman Braxton Quattlebaum was named to the 6A first team. Linebacker Mookie Moore and wide receiver Izayah Fletcher were named to the second team, while quarterback JT Blackwood, running back Ri Fletcher, and kicker Crawford Lang were honorable mention.

Priceville had four selections, including senior offensive lineman Tyler Cappi and junior running back Mason Cartee, both named the 4A first team. This is the third time Cappi has been named to an All-State team.

In addition, offensive lineman Tristan Holmes and junior linebacker Jake Langlois were named honorable mention.

Danville’s senior defensive lineman Kameron Hogan was named to the 3A honorable mention all-state team.
