Barkley Bridge robotics team qualifies for state

Students from Barkley Bridge Elementary and Hartselle Intermediate School make up a VEX IQ Robotics team that has qualified for the VEX IQ state tournament in Auburn this weekend. BBE Bots team ended in the top five and won the Excellence award Feb. 5 at Liberty Middle School VEX tournament to qualify for a spot at the state competition. The Excellence award, which is the highest award given, goes to a team that exemplifies overall excellence in building a high-quality robotics program. Team members include Mabry Garnett, James McGuire, Parker Moore, Elijah Barnes, Clara Arterburn, Grady Royer and Clay Menanno.
