County gets $87K for emergency food, shelter

Morgan County has been chosen to receive $87,468 in federal funds to supplement and expand emergency food and shelter programs in the county. 

Nonprofit, faith-based and governmental organizations that provide food, shelter and supportive services within the intent of the program are encouraged to request further information along with an application. 

Applications are available from the United Way of Morgan County. Email info@uwmcal.org or pick up an application at the United Way building, 115 First Ave. NE, Decatur.  

The deadline for completed applications to be returned is Feb. 28, 2022.
