Priceville students recently took on a challenge: The Great Kindness Challenge
The Great Kindness Challenge–School Edition is one week devoted to students, teachers and staff performing as many acts of kindness as possible on campus. Using the kindness checklist provided, students accept the challenge and show the world that kindness matters.
Through a social and emotional learning-focused approach, The Great Kindness Challenges aims to improve school climate, increase student engagement and prevent bullying. It is described by coordinators as “a powerful tool that actively engages students, teachers, administrators, families and communities in creating a culture of compassion, acceptance, unity and respect.”
The Challenge promotes the idea that all children deserve to learn in a safe, supportive and caring environment.
