Coins for a cause: BBE students donate to Habitat for Humanity

Students at Barkley Bridge Elementary – like Jack Wilbanks, Olivia Zuck and Morgan Gaskin – donate more than $700 to benefit Habitat of Humanity of Morgan County in an effort called the Love Your Community Coin Drive. The organization is currently holding a Women’s Build for Janice Marshall in Decatur, and multiple team members have connections at Barkley Bridge and in Hartselle. Student Gatlin Franks said the coin drive taught him a lot about helping others, especially those less fortunate. He even looked for coins in his couch at home.
