Hartselle man arrested on theft charges

July 2, Lt. Alan McDearmond arrested Tony Dewayne Jones, 46, of Hartselle for theft of property (first degree.) Jones was given a $5,000 bond and transported to the Morgan County Jail.

The arrest was the result of a warrant obtained on January 11, 2021. Jones is alleged to have cashed a check which was supposed to have been endorsed and given to a company for moving his house trailer.
