Community gathers for prayer vigil

Dean, who was injured while on duty July 15, has made “tremendous progress” and was able to move to a rehabilitation center, according to Hartselle police chief Justin Barley.

Barley said Dean’s journey to recovery will be a long one, but he will be back with the department “soon.”
