Laceys Spring man killed in crash

A two-vehicle crash at approximately 8:30 p.m. July 24, has claimed the life of a Laceys Spring man. James R. Lasater, 48, was fatally injured when the 2004 Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was operating struck a 2014 Ford F-150, driven by Thomas Hatter, 72, of Laceys Spring. Lasater was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash which occurred on U.S. 231 near the 300-mile marker, approximately two miles south of Laceys Spring, in Morgan County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
