Hartselle man arrested on theft charges

Aug. 2, officers arrested Nicholas Chad Helton, 34, of Hartselle for theft of property in the third degree. His bond was set at $1,000.
The arrest was the result of an investigation into the theft of tools from Lowes, valued at almost $1,000. Helton was developed as a suspect due to prior thefts at other Lowe’s stores. A warrant was obtained for Helton as a result of the investigation and he was arrested in Madison where he was later transferred to the Hartselle Police Department for booking.
