Home Sweet Hartselle mural painted on Sparkman Street

Harper Daves, 6, paints a brick in the Home Sweet Hartselle mural during the Depot Days festival this past weekend. The mural is the first of its kind in the Hartselle Historic District organized by RAW Images owner Rachel Howard. It is located on the side of her photography studio on Sparkman Street.  

“I’m so glad to see this mural finally come to fruition,” Howard said. “It’s been more than a year in the making.” Howard said the money raised during the festival will go toward future murals in Hartselle. 

“My goal is to see murals painted on walls all over Hartselle,” Howard added.
