Are you a joy giver?

A famous poet once said “Life is not measured in the years you live, but in the deeds you do and the joy you give.” The last line of that poem, “the joy you give” should describe, in part, the measure of a Christians life. Being a joy giver is one of the jobs of a child of God. In Matthew 5, the Bible tells us to “let your light shine….” When our relationship with Christ is such that we follow this commandment, joy comes from that. Joy comes in our life from that Christ centered life and the joy we can give to others grows out of that. A genuine love for Christ breeds a genuine joy and when you have the joy of Christ, you want to share that with others and the measure of your life, in part, becomes about “the joy you give.” Are you a joy giver?
