Brewer’s season comes to a close in opening round of playoffs

SCOTTSBORO — The Brewer Patriots’ season ended in the first round of the 5A state playoffs in a 45-14 loss on the road at Scottsboro.

Quarterback Caden Childers threw a pair of touchdown passes, 63 yards to Will Clemons and nine yards to Walker Latham to close out his senior season.

Scottsboro’s Keelan Alvarez ran for three touchdowns in the victory.

Brewer season comes to a close with a 5-6 record.
