Danville gets first win of Ben Mastin era
DANVILLE — The Danville Hawks picked up the first win for head coach Ben Mastin following their 79-48 win over Tharptown this past Friday.
A.J. Holladay finished with a game-high 21 points to lead Danville. Huntley Segars added 16 points, while Joseph Smith had 10 points and five rebounds. Gage Taylor had six rebounds and four steals.
Danville led 24-11 after the first quarter and 47-27 at halftime.
New Hope 55, Brewer 37: The Brewer Patriots fell 55-37 on the road at New Hope in coach Matthew Crowe’s first game.
The game was tied at 19-19 going into halftime. However, the host Indians outscored the Patriots 36-18 in the second half to secure the victory.
Tyde Fairbanks led Brewer with seven points, two assists and two steals. Kade George added six, while Austyn Holmes and Jackson Dunn had five points each. Mac Shadden led the team with five rebounds.
