Stadthagen named to three legislative committees

Alabama Speaker of the House Nathaniel Ledbetter (R-Rainsville) has appointed House Majority Leader Scott Stadthagen (R-Hartselle) to three legislative committees: Rules Committee, Fiscal Responsibility Committee and State Government Committee.
“I am honored that Speaker Ledbetter has appointed me to serve on these three important committees,” Stadthagen said. “The rules committee is integral in determining which bills will be considered by the House of Representatives on the chamber floor each day. The Fiscal Responsibility Committee is tasked with helping to ensure that we are good stewards of taxpayer dollars and the State Government committee is essential in Alabama’s operations.”
In November, Stadthagen was elected by his colleagues in the State House of Representatives to serve for the next four years as the House Majority Leader. In that role, he will lead the Republican caucus which holds a supermajority in the House.
He was elected to his second term in office Nov. 2 and represents district 9.
