The Association of American Educators Foundation (AAEF), a 501(c)(3) organization supporting the mission of the Association of American Educators (AAE), a national, non-union, professional association serving educators in all fifty states, announces this past week it is accepting teacher scholarship and classroom grant proposals from K-12 professional educators. This scholarship and grant program serves to advance the teaching profession and is open to all educators.
The AAEF Teacher Scholarship and Classroom Grant Program has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars to educators across the country. This biannual competitive program, with deadlines in October and March, helps teachers attain professional development goals and secure materials and resources for innovative classroom projects and activities through $500 awards.
“Our signature grant and scholarship program celebrates the passion and ingenuity of our professional educators and demonstrates our unwavering commitment to championing professionalism,” said AAE and AAEF Executive Director Colin Sharkey. “Through this program and a broad variety of additional professional initiatives, trainings, and resources, AAE and the AAE Foundation are helping educators to realize their vision of enabling students to achieve their full potential.”
Teacher scholarships and classroom grants can be applied to conference attendance, workshops, fellowships, online training, books, software, lab materials, art supplies, adaptive materials, and many other expenditures including those related to in-classroom needs and professional training. The application is available at aaeteachers.org/awards and the submission deadline is 11:59 p.m. Feb. 28 (Eastern Standard.)
