Hartselle stabbing leaves one dead, one injured

A stabbing early Thursday morning has left one dead and one injured, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to Village Drive near Hartselle before 7 a.m. Authorities said one subject was detained, one was deceased and another was being treated for injuries.

Spokesman for the sheriff’s office Mike Swafford said the deceased is a juvenile.

Authorities asked people to use caution in the area.
