Hartselle man arrested on firearm charges
Special to the Enquirer
April 17, Deputy Cole Kelly was dispatched to an area of Rocky Ford Road near Hartselle on a suspicious person call.
Recently, the Sheriff’s Office received numerous complaints about a subject following vehicles and pointing a firearm at other drivers in the area.
Deputy Kelly made contact with a vehicle matching the description given by callers. The vehicle stopped in the roadway and turned off its headlights. At which time deputies initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Jonathan Michael Terrell, 40, of Hartselle.
A firearm, with an altered serial number, was located in the vehicle. Deputies collected the firearm, and investigators obtained a felony warrant for an altered firearm.
Terrell was arrested April 18 and booked into the Morgan County Jail. His bond was set at $2,500. Additional charges are possible.
