Feeding Families of Alabama seeks donations

Feeding Families of Alabama is asking the community for donations. All donations, whether one item or many, help the organization help people in need. eat !
Some of the items that are needed include unexpired and unopened foods such as canned veggies, green beans, corn, green peas, northern beans, mixed veggies, carrots, kraut, spinach, beets and potatoes. They also need instant potatoes, spaghetti and pasta sauces, canned meats, spam, chicken, canned ravioli and chili, saltine crackers, syrups and jellies, pop tarts, grits, tea bags, coffee, Kool-Aid mixes and juice. They are also very much in need of hygiene products. All donations can be dropped off in the tubs provided at their office door. The drop off is at Mt Tabor Church, 373 Mt Tabor Rd., Hartselle.
Town-wide yard sale
The Town of Falkville will be holding a town-wide yard sale June 2-3. The deadline to register for the yard sale is May 19. All those wishing to participate must register and their location will be marked on the Google media map. Anyone interested can also register at www.falkville.org or at town Hall.
Happy birthday
Several communities are happy to welcome new family members with the births of new babies. Olivia “Livie” Katherine Lovell was born on March 3 to Nick and Rachel Lovell. Olivia weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and she was 20 inches long. The proud grandparents are Steve and Mary Terry, Robin and Frank Doherty and Lynn Lovell and great grandmother is Judy Lovell . Kinsley Anne Keeton was born March 6 weighing 7 pounds and 9 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. She is the daughter of Austin and Jada Keeton. Proud sister is Kyleigh. The happy grandparents are Karen Callahan and Chris and Tammy Keeton. Great grandparents are Darrell and Mary Fuller.
Elijah Stephen Allen was born March 22 weighing 6 pounds and 12 ounces and 19 inches long. Nate and Kelsey are his proud parents. Elijah’s grandparents are Shane and Amy Boyd, Kyle Bell and Wendell and Trudy Allen. The great grandparents are Patsy Gilstrap Jones and Dale and Betty Boyd.
