Somerville man charged with sexual abuse of a child

A Somerville man was arrested May 31 and charged with sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office. 

Robert Curtis Harvell Sr., 76, remained in the Morgan County Jail June 1 in lieu of a $500,000 bond according to jail records.  

The Sheriff’s Office said the charges stem from an investigation by their Criminal Investigation Division, with assistance from the Morgan County Child Advocacy Center and the Morgan County Department of Human Resources.
