Anna Hall named new Hartselle softball head coach
Anna Hall has been named the new head coach of the Hartselle softball program. She replaces Christopher Reeves, who resigned after two years leading the Lady Tigers.
“I am very honored and also humbled to have the opportunity to lead such a great group of young women,” Hall said. “As a player, I loved having the opportunity to play for Hartselle. I have many memories from high school from softball and the positive experiences I had. Those positive experiences made me want to major in education so I could return to Hartselle to teach/coach and make a difference.”
Hall has been an assistant coach for the softball Program since 2014. She joined the coaching staff after playing collegiately at Calhoun Community College. During her time on staff, she has helped lead the program to state championships in 2014 and 2018.
“Coach Hall has a lot of experience as a player and a coach. Her experience and knowledge has created an excellent rapport with our student-athletes,” Hartselle assistant principal and athletic director Pat Smith said. “Anna loves Hartselle and expects excellence from herself and everyone around her. We know she will continue to build on our tradition-rich program and take it to new heights. We are behind her 100%.”
“I am very excited to have Coach Hall leading our program,” Hartselle principal Dr. Brad Cooper said. “She is a phenomenal coach and an excellent classroom teacher. She is the epitome of what Hartselle expects in the classroom and on the playing field.“
Hall is a 2009 Hartselle graduate and was a member of the 2008 state runner-up team. She has a master’s degree in biology and teaches anatomy and biology at Hartselle High School.
