Morgan deputies arrest Huntsville man on trafficking charges

June 26, deputies with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office patrol division initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 36 and Union Hill Road in the Cotaco community.
Upon approach, deputies made contact with Aaron Dee Lauderdale, 37, of Huntsville.
During the traffic stop, deputies located approximately 4- ounces of a crystalline substance that tested positive as methamphetamine, approximately 17 grams of a brown, rock-like substance that tested positive as heroin, approximately 108 grams of MDMA (Ecstasy), cocaine, marijuana and THC edibles.
Agents with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Drug Enforcement Unit arrived on scene and placed Lauderdale under arrest for trafficking in methamphetamine, heroin and MDMA.
Lauderdale was booked in the Morgan County Jail.
