Hartselle football players pick corn for team fundraiser
The Hartselle Tigers football team recently spent a day in the fields picking corn for their annual corn sale fundraiser. More than fifty players and coaches participated in the corn picking.
According to the Hartselle football Twitter page, the field yielded a good crop.
“The corn fundraiser was a great success again this year,” Hartselle head coach Bryan Moore said. “It’s a unique fundraiser for Hartselle and one in which everyone wins. We provide a great product for our community and raise money.”
The fundraiser also teaches the players the value of hard work, according to Moore.
“We provide an experience to our players that is second to none, and we must continue to raise money to do so. I am thankful for our community and local farmers for allowing us to do this,” he said.
