Hartselle Tiger Paws dance team attends UDA summer camp

Special to the Enquirer
The Hartselle High School Tiger Paws attended this year’s UDA Dance Camp at the University of Alabama at Huntsville July 10-13. There were 10 teams from Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee at the camp. The Tiger Paws had a great time, learned lots of new material and won several awards at camp.

The team won first place for their home routine, a superior trophy with all blue ribbons for a perfect score, the leadership award and the team full-out award. They also won the spirit stick and super spirit stick each day of the camp.

Individually, Kaitlyn Moore was named the drill down queen, Charlee Blanton and Hailey Scott won pin it forward awards and six team members were named ADA All-Americans. Those team members are Avery Delaney, Gracie Exum, Kaitlyn Moore, Mattie Reynolds, Maggie Beth King and Sarah Westbrook.

The wins secured Tiger Paws a bid to NDTC Nationals in Orlando.
