Funeral service for Sue Bodley, 84, was held Friday, July 21, 2023 at 1 p.m.
at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Holmes officiating and Peck
Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens. Mrs. Bodley died on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at her residence. She was born September 6, 1938, in Lee County, Mississippi, to Herman Garfield Faulkner and Lora Lee Thompson Faulkner.
She was a member of Vestavia Hills Baptist Church in Decatur, and she loved
her church family.
She was known for her smile, laughter, caring nature and her generosity.
People who were fortunate enough to meet her were quickly drawn into a
special relationship with her. Her family was the most important aspect of
her life, and she loved them all deeply. Her character had a positive impact
on everyone in the family.
Sue was a remarkable woman who started as a secretary and worked her way up
to becoming the plant manager at Chore Time Equipment, which was a
predominately male operated industry. She was the type of person that
brought out the best in others. This was true at work, with her family and
in her personal life. She will be missed by all those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Bodley, her parents, and a
sister Marcia Castleberry. Survivors include daughter Debra Kreps (Rodney); son Greg Bodley (Cathy); sister Pam Duke (Larry); grandchildren Brittany Harvel Straub (David), Shelley Carter (Clint), Capt. Zac Bodley U.S. Army and Catherine Bodley; great-grandchildren Blakely and Cooper; bonus family Maria Faulkner, Daniel Kreps, Thomas and Lauren Kreps, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, make memorial donations to the Vestavia Hills Baptist Church.

A graveside funeral service and interment for Danny Sherill Lott, 69, was held Friday, July 21, 2023, at 4 p.m. at Rock Creek Cemetery with Rev. Charles Crawford officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Mr. Lott died on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at his residence. He was born
August 13, 1953, in Morgan County, to Mallie Alton Lott and Cevila Sherill
Winsett Lott. He was employed by Goodyear, as a machinist, prior to his retirement. He was
a good husband and father. He was preceded in death by one son Randy Lott, his parents and a brother Donnie Lott. Survivors include his wife, Betty Lott; sons David Lott and Alton Lott (April)l brother Terry Lott (Betty); grandchildren Gabriel Lott and Zoey Lott.
Madge Humphries Carter

Funeral Service for V. Madge Humphries Carter, 94, of Vinemont were held Monday, July 17, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Aris officiating with burial in Andrews Chapel Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Carter was born June 2, 1929, in Cullman County to Albert Humphries and Bertha Hart Humphries. She passed away Friday, July 14, 2023, at Hanceville Nursing and Rehabilitation in Cullman. Madge was married to her husband Bro. Mack Carter for 77 years. She worked as a retail manager for Family Dollar before retiring and spending time with her family and loving her grandbabies. She was a member of Andrews Chapel Baptist Church, loved Sacred Heart Singing, Southern Gospel music and especially loved babies. She was well known by her family as being a very, very hard worker. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bro. Mack Carter; brothers and sisters, Tolbert Humphries, Elizabeth Mabe, Troy Humphries, Lois Wright, Faye Briscoe and grandson, Dustin Carter.
Her survivors include sons Tim Carter (Becky) and Gary Carter (Valerie); daughter Judy Hulsey (Kenneth); sisters, Edith Bennett and Vernell McCravy (Billy) six grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
Pall bearers will be Carter Latham, Walker Latham, Kierian Hulsey, Kered Hulsey, Ethan Templet and Alex Lewter with honorary pall bearers Gregg Carter and Derek Hulsey.

Funeral service for Willodyne M. Sandlin, 88, will be Friday, July 21, 2023

and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Turney Cemetery. Mrs. Sandlin died on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Thursday, March 28, 1935, in Morgan County to Dorell Bonard Mooneyham and Lola Lee Goree Mooneyham.
She was a teacher for Morgan County School System and for theC ity of Hartselle School System, prior to her retirement. She taught school
for 30 years in Priceville and Hartselle. She was a member of the Grace
Point Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband Jack Sandlin; a son Lee Sandlin;
daughter-in-law: Teresa Sandlin and two brothers: Jack and Joe Mooneyham.
Survivors include son Lance Sandlin; brother John Mooneyham (Marilyn); grandchildren Emily Northington (Ryan); Erin Sandlin Franks (Jason); great-grandchildren
Mary Northington, Stanford Northington, Lily Franks, Jack Franks and Nora Franks. Pallbearers will be Jason Franks, Brad Mooneyham, James West, Blake Mooneyham, Ryan Northington and Ray King. Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin West, Eric West, Jeff King and Cameron Horne. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Hospice of North Alabama or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Geraldine Patrick Pierson

A graveside funeral service an interment for Geraldine Patrick Pierson,
95, was held Friday, July 21, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Burningtree Memorial
Gardens with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home
directing.
Geraldine ‘Gerry’ Pierson was born April 3, 1928, to Wyatt L. Patrick and
Flora M. Patrick in Rector, Ark. She had one brother, Denver D. Patrick.
Gerry passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Falkville Nursing Home at the
age of 95. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, a nephew and
her husband of sixty years, Harley D. Pierson.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Ann Crouch (Will); three
grandsons, John Crouch (Amy), David Crouch (Kim) and Stephen Crouch; six
great-grandchildren, Emily Crouch, Logan Crouch, Lyndsey Crouch, Lyla
Crouch, Mason Fannon and Kelsey Fannon; one great, great-grandson, William
Kennedy; and one caring nephew, Gregg Patrick.
Gerry enjoyed spending time with her grand, great-grand and great
great-grandchildren, cooking and playing Bridge. She was a member of Central
Baptist Church. She was employed as a loan officer for First Federal Savings
and Loan prior to her retirement.
Memorials may be made to the Senior Center of Decatur and the Decatur Animal
Shelter.
Betty Carlyine Pierce

Funeral service for Carlyine Gibson Pierce, 82, of Somerville, was
July 24 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Christian Pierce
officiating and burial in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home
directing. Mrs. Pierce, who died July 20 at Summerford Nursing Home, was born July 3,
1941 in Lonnie and Lois Gibson. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and worked as a homemaker her entire married life. She loved to sing, she loved to cook, she loved to
laugh, she loved her family, but most of all she loved her Lord and savior
Jesus Christ. If you were lucky enough to be a close friend to her, then she
considered you part of her family.
She is survived by one son, Christian Pierce of Hartselle; one daughter,
Samara Haynes (Larry) of Birmingham; two grandchildren, Kyle
and Katie Haynes; and her adopted son Edward Gibson (Angie.)
Sharon-Terry Terry
The family of Sharon-Terry Terry will have a private graveside service with Pastor Randy Williams officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Terry died on Saturday; July 22, 2023, at her residence surrounded by family. She was born Wednesday, December 5, 1945, in Morgan County to Cleveland and Audrey Tucker.
She was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of East Lawrence Church of God, a foreign missionary and an evangelist minister. Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, Virgil Tucker and a sister, Joyce Hill. Survivors include her husband Harold E Terry Sr.; sons Harold E Terry Jr. (Tammy) of Hartselle; Greg Terry (Shelia) of Hartselle; Jason Terry (Lassie Mears) of Hartselle; daughter, Beth Mullican (Mike) of Decatur; grandchildren Kali Rodgers (Karmel) of Decatur, Ashley Cook of Hartselle; and niece Jenny of Hartselle.
Marvin D. Henderson
Hartselle
A graveside guneral service and interment for Marvin D. Henderson, 92, was held Monday, July 24, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Sardis Cemetery #2 in Addison,
Alabama, with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home
directing. Mr. Henderson died on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at his residence. He was born
September 5, 1930, in Winston County, to Felton Henderson and Zady White
Henderson.
He was employed by and retired from International Paper Company after 36
years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Thelma Henderson, his parents, three
sons, Dalton Henderson, Marlon Henderson and Robert Henderson and a
daughter Karen Darnell.
Survivors include sons Wade Henderson and Michael Henderson; daughters Wanda Tyndall and Birtha Henderson; sisters Elouise Henderson and Lucille Glover; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
