Palahach and Williams commit to NWSCC
Hartselle seniors Cam Palahach and Lawson Williams have committed to Northwest-Shoals Community College to continue their baseball careers.
Palahach, a catcher, was named first-team all-state as a junior. He will be a three-year starter for Coach Willam Booth. He finished his junior season hitting .374 with 46 hits and 28 RBI.
Williams played first base and designated hitter for the Tigers last season. He hit .346 with 37 hits, including three home runs and 28 RBI.
They will join former teammate Eli Tidwell at Northwest-Shoals. He is starting his freshman season with the Patriots this fall.
Northwest-Shoals restarted its baseball program in the fall of 2021. They played their first season in the Alabama Community College Conference last year. The Patriots finished 31-25 last season.
They are coached by David Langston in his second go-round in leading the Patriots’ program. He coached them for 10 years before athletics was suspended in 2011.
