A Hartselle man was charged Saturday with a stabbing, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.
Fletcher Turney Jr., 68, remained in the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $2,500 bond on Sunday after being charged with second-degree assault. He allegedly used a knife in the stabbing.
Deputies arrived Saturday at the 300 block of Halbrooks Road, near Hartselle, and found a person with what appeared to be non-life-threatening wounds and Turney, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The victim was treated at the scene and transported to a hospital and Turney was arrested, the Sheriff’s Office said.
