Sidewalk projects underway downtown

Sidewalk projects are underway in downtown Hartselle. Funded through a transportation alternative grant from ALDOT, sidewalks will be replaced along South Sparkman Street, continuing past Main Street north to Pine Street. Sidewalks will also be replaced along Sycamore and Chestnut Streets. Each of these will be handicap accessible and will continue to add to the ability to walk all over our downtown area. The total project will be approximately $800,000 with the city providing a 20% match.
