Hartselle High School Engineering Academy seeks student sponsors
Special to the Enquirer
The Hartselle Engineering program will be traveling to Orlando, Fla. on January 29, 2024, to participate in the Imagineering Campus Educational Program.
The Disney Imagination Campus curriculum offers the best of high-tech, low-tech, multidisciplinary and experiential learning opportunities that teach students to become both creative and critical thinkers.
Students will learn from Disney Imagineering how science and technology are used to create everyone’s favorite attractions like Space Mountain, Matterhorn Bobsleds and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Students will see science come to life through the work of Disney Imagineering. They will get to interact directly with these Disney professionals to find out how they come up with their ideas, how they make them and how their success is the result of the relentless pursuit of, “What if?”
Through this interaction with Disney professionals and empowered by the fully integrated curriculum, students will experience personal growth and professional insights as only Disney can provide.
The Academy will take 40 students and four chaperones for five days at a cost of $1,000 per person.
The Academy wants all students to be able to participate in this unprecedented opportunity but needs help from sponsors. Donations can be made to a specific student, for this specific opportunity or to the Engineering program as a whole.
