Hartselle wins two area matches, will host the area tournament

With one week left in the regular season, teams are preparing for the postseason. Hartselle clinched the top seed in their area with wins over Decatur and Cullman. The Lady Tigers will host the area tournament starting in two weeks.

Priceville closed the week by winning their own tournament. They finished the day undefeated with wins over Grissom, East Limestone and Brewer.

Hartselle
Tuesday: defeated Decatur 3-1
Thursday: defeated Cullman 3-0

Ashley Holshouser: 33 digs, 26 kills and six assists
Lily Douglass: 15 kills and five digs
Amber Holshouser: 71 assists, 26 digs and 14 kills
Brooklyn Stiles: 40 digs and four aces
Mary Frances Itsede: 19 kills and seven digs

Priceville
Tuesday: lost to Cullman 3-1
Saturday: defeated East Limestone 2-0, defeated Brewer 2-1, defeated Grissom 2-0 and defeated Clements 2-0

Emmy Sherwood:50 kills
Abby Langlois: 46 kills, 22 digs and eight blocks
Ashlyn Johnson: 115 assists and 42 digs
Maddi Kennedy: 39 digs

Falkville
Tuesday: defeated Elkmont 2-0, lost to West Limestone 2-0
Thursday: lost to Lindsay Lane 3-0, lost to Ardmore 2-1

Abbey Grace Tomlin: 35 digs and 26 kills
Ella Kyker: 42 kills and 25 digs
Ellie Cate Hill: 79 assists, 30 digs and 15 kills
