Hartselle woman arrested on burglary charge

Special to the Enquirer

Oct. 16, Inv. Edmondson arrested Booklyn La’Shae Ann Smith, 24, of Hartselle, for burglary in the first degree.

The arrest stems from an incident on Oct. 11 when Hartselle Police Officers were dispatched to Oakwood Street. Officers were informed Smith entered the residence and physically assaulted two occupants inside the residence. While leaving the residence, Smith struck a parked vehicle in front of the residence, which belonged to a separate victim. Smith left the scene before officers arrived.

This was a domestic violence situation where Smith was known to the victims. She was contacted by Investigator Edmondson and turned herself into the Hartselle Police Department on Oct. 16. She was booked in the Morgan County Jail with a $10,000 bond.
