With God nothing is impossible
By Todd Barrier
Last week in this article space we looked at a big lesson we can learn from the birth story of Christ. I’d like to continue that this week and next week. This week’s big lesson is that nothing is impossible with God. There are plenty of people out there struggling. Struggling with diseases, addictions, family issues and many other things they think or have been told won’t change for the better. Sometimes we forget the God we worship can’t be put in a box that we define, because His power is unimaginable! God can cure us, redeem us, repair us and whatever other words we can come up with, if it is His will. If we truly believe that, His peace covers us in the most difficult times. This story proves it. As we look in Luke 1 we see Elizabeth, a barren woman late in her life become pregnant. This seemed impossible, but our God made it so. Later we see Mary, a virgin, become pregnant because she was part of God’s grand plan of redemption for the world. Mary tries to argue that this is impossible, but the angel who delivered the news let it be known that…”For with God nothing will be impossible.”(Luke 1:37). Two impossible situations, one amazing God. With God nothing is impossible.
