Holmes, Holladay reach 1,000 points to lead latest stat-stuffers
Sammy Holmes and A.J. Holladay crossed the 1,000 point mark for their careers in boys’ action, leading this week’s stat stuffers. Sophie Estep and Anna Claire Gladden had career nights in girls’ play.
Boys’ basketball
Sammy Holmes, Priceville: Holmes averaged 20.7 points with 20 rebounds and seven assists in three games. He passed the 1,000 point mark in a 49-40 win over Ardmore.
AJ Holladay, Danville: Holladay had 24 points and four rebounds in a 60-57 loss to Brewer in the Morgan County Tournament Championship. He passed the 1,000 point mark in the Morgan County Championship game.
Ty Odom, Hartselle: Odom averaged 17.3 points with nine rebounds and nine assists in three games.
Dawson Fowler, Falkville: Fowler had 17 points in a loss to Holly Pond.
Austyn Holmes, Brewer: Holmes averaged 15.7 points and had 20 rebounds and 10 assists in three games.
Cason Oden, Brewer: Oden averaged 14.6 points and had 20 rebounds in three games.
Jackson Dunn, Brewer: Dunn averaged 14 points and had 16 rebounds, nine assists and five steals in three games.
Brayden Thomas, Hartselle: Thomas averaged nine points with 23 rebounds and nine assists in three games.
Ben Ellenburg, Danville: Ellenburg had 15 points in a 60-57 loss to Brewer in the Morgan County Tournament Championship.
