Annual tree giveaway set for March 6

The Morgan County Soil and Water Conservation District Annual Tree Giveaway is just around the corner, scheduled for March 6 from 8 a.m. until noon. Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars for this eco-friendly event taking place at the USDA Field Office, located at 3120 Hwy 36 W, Hartselle. 

This year’s giveaway offers an opportunity for residents to enhance their green spaces with a variety of seedlings. Each household is eligible to receive up to 10 seedlings, allowing families to contribute to the region’s environmental well-being. 

The available tree species for this year’s giveaway include: 

– Pawpaw 

– Hornbeam 

– Persimmon 

– Black Walnut 

– Cherrybark Oak 

– Elderberry 

– Poplar 

– Sourwood 

– Button Bush
