FlashFiber celebrates 10,000th customer
Special to the Enquirer
FlashFiber, the high-speed fiber internet provider started by Joe Wheeler EMC, is excited to announce a significant milestone as it welcomes the Kilgo family of Hartselle as its 10,000th customer. In celebration of this momentous occasion, representatives from FlashFiber, joined by representatives of both the Hartselle and Decatur-Morgan Chambers of Commerce, gathered to honor the Kilgo family and express gratitude for their support.
At the beginning of the year, the Kilgo family joined the ever-growing community of satisfied FlashFiber customers, officially becoming the 10,000th connected service. Their decision to choose FlashFiber as their Hometown Internet Provider highlights the company’s commitment to providing reliable, high-speed connectivity to households across Morgan and Lawrence Counties. As the 10,000th customer, the Kilgo family holds a special place in FlashFiber’s history, symbolizing the trust and confidence that customers place in the company.
While visiting with the Kilgo family, they were asked how they use their 1 Gbps FlashFiber connection. “We both work from home, so we use the internet for work, and the kids have iPads and stream on those. We were able to disconnect our satellite provider, which paid for the internet and now we just stream everything,” Said Craig Kilgo. “It’s amazing going from our phone data package; the speed is not comparable.”
“We are thrilled to welcome the Kilgo family as our 10,000th customer,” said Michael Cornelison, FlashFiber’s Director of Communications and Marketing. “We appreciate all of our customers’ support over the last three and a half years since our first installation and want everyone to know that we’re just getting started.”
At the celebration, held at the Kilgo residence, representatives from FlashFiber presented the family with prizes to commemorate their role in reaching this significant milestone. Representatives from the Hartselle Chamber of Commerce and the Decatur-Morgan Chamber of Commerce also attended, expressing their congratulations and support for FlashFiber’s continued success.
“Today was an exciting day not only for FlashFiber but also for the many recipients of this high-speed fiber internet. Congratulations to the lovely Kilgo family on being the lucky number 10,000. The Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce looks forward to celebrating the next FlashFiber milestone,” said Judy Brown, Decatur Morgan Chamber of Commerce Director of Member and Investor Relations.
