Morgan County Spring Clean-Up 2024 kicks off next month
By Staff Reports
Morgan County residents are urged to mark their calenders for April 1-13 when the annual Spring Clean-Up returns. This annual event, exclusive to residential customers, aims to promote community cleanliness and responsible waste disposal practices.
To participate, residents must present a copy of their bill indicating Morgan County sanitation fees from either Joe Wheeler Electric, Arab Water, Cullman Electric or Joppa Water. Commercial customers are not eligible for this program.
The primary disposal site for the event is the Decatur/Morgan County Landfill, located at 500 Landfill Drive in Trinity. Operating hours are from Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with extended hours on Saturdays, April 6 and April 13, from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to rid their homes of unwanted items. However, certain materials, including shingles, tires, lumber, and hazardous substances, will not be accepted. Additionally, unregistered vehicles are prohibited from disposal.
