The Alabama Department of Transportation will repair the Parker Road and Bethel Road bridges over Interstate 65 in Morgan County, and motorists should expect around-the-clock closures of the bridges and approaches for about three days each while they are worked on.
Crews began repairing the approaches to the Parker Road overpass this week and ALDOT the Bethel Road overpass repairs are planned to start March 25, and the road is planned to reopen on or about March 27.
Crews will erect barricades near the bridges and position message boards to advise motorists of the temporary road closures for each repair. There will be no impacts to I-65 because the work will be limited to the county and city roads, according to ALDOT.
