20 under 40: Kate Dupuis

Kate Dupuis, 35 

Choral Director, Hartselle High School  

A native of Vermont, Kate moved to Alabama with her husband in 2011. After working in the Student Success Center at UAH for one year, Kate was thrilled to be offered the choral director position in Hartselle. Kate holds a Bachelor of Music in music education from the University of Southern Maine with a double concentration in Voice and Trumpet, and a Master of Music in music education from Boston University.  

She and her husband Rene have two children: Beckett, 8 and Avery Adele, 5.  

Her hobbies include traveling, cooking, reading, and spending time with family. 

Fun fact: Kate’s first job was scooping ice cream at the original Ben and Jerry’s scoop shop in Burlington, Vermont.
