20 under 40: Leonard Morris
In the pursuit of guiding individuals toward their fullest potential, Leonard Morris II has devoted his life to various roles that showcase his leadership acumen. Through coaching, officiating, teaching and managerial endeavors, he has consistently utilized his skills to uplift others on their life journeys. Active community involvement has played a pivotal role in influencing others positively wherever he goes. His commitment to investing in individuals, teams and families has yielded significant returns through the years, demonstrating a profound impact. “My parents and mentors have been a great asset in my personal, professional and spiritual journey in life. I’m reminded daily that leaders serve,” he said. “It’s my honor to help adults as well as youth to discover their full potential through coaching and equipping them with the tools needed to succeed. Throughout the years, I’ve had the privilege of coaching athletes, business owners, leaders and students in our community and across the state. Developing leaders is a passion of mine. Without the investment and support of my wife, my family and coaches over the years, I would not be the person I am today. In 2023, along with coaching, our family joined the Life Church Hartselle staff as youth pastors. We are proud to serve our community.” He has been married to Kristi for more than 12 years, The joys of parenthood are reflected in their family with daughters Joy, 9, Selah, 8, Olivia, 3, and son Leo, 5, as well as the newest addition, Gideon, 7 months. In his free time, Morris enjoys officiating football, coaching, reading, playing golf and grilling out.
