Special to the Enquirer

Rep. Scott Stadthagen of Hartselle was confirmed by the Alabama Senate to the Board of Trustees of the University of Wes Alabama in a unanimous vote April 9. Stadthagen, who was appointed to the board by Governor Kay Ivey, is an alumnus of the University, located in Livingston, Ala.

“I am honored to have been given the opportunity to serve the school that has given me so much,” Stadthagen said. “Going to college at the University of West Alabama and playing football as a UWA Tiger had a great deal to do with making the man that I am.”

The University of West Alabama was founded in 1835 and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
