Habitat for Humanity applications for homeownership available June 3

Are you ready to turn your dream of homeownership into reality? Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County recently announced applications for housing will be available starting on June 3.
Prospective homeowners can download and print an application by visiting the organization’s website at morganhabitat.org/homeownership. Alternatively, application packets can be picked up in person at the Habitat ReStore located at 1123 Central Pkwy., Decatur. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Applications will only be accessible from June 3-15.
Once completed, applicants are required to return their applications along with the necessary documents at an information class scheduled for Tuesday, June 18, at either 10 a.m. or 6 p.m. These sessions provide a comprehensive overview of the Habitat homeownership program, including basic requirements and an opportunity for attendees to address any queries they may have. Registration is mandatory, and details can be found in the application packet.
Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County works in partnership with individuals in the community to construct or enhance homes where families can thrive. Through collaborative efforts, Habitat homeowners actively participate in the construction of their dwellings alongside volunteers and commit to paying an affordable mortgage. This support empowers Habitat homeowners to achieve the stability, strength and self-reliance necessary for a brighter future for themselves and their loved ones.
To qualify for a Habitat home, applicants must reside in Morgan County, demonstrate a need for housing, meet Habitat’s income criteria, actively contribute to Habitat construction endeavors, and attend homeowner education classes.
