Cathy Dianne Ward

Oneonta Funeral service for Cathy Dianne Ward, 71, was held Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 4:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Nicky Pressnell officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. The burial will be in Falkville City Cemetery.

Ms. Ward passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Olive Homes in Oneonta, Alabama. She was born September 28, 1953, in Morgan County, to John Thomas Compton and Barbara Sue Lambert Compton.

She was self-employed in home healthcare and was a caregiver until she became unable to serve in that capacity anymore. She was a very unique lady and enjoyed needlepoint.

Her parents preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter, Heather Ray; brother, John Compton; sister, Beth Compton; two grandchildren, Ella Ray and Savannah Ray.
