Bobby Roy Cleghorn
Funeral service for Bobby Roy Cleghorn, 89, will be Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Arley Congregational Church with Darin Cleghorn officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Arley Congregational Cemetery.
Mr. Cleghorn died on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born January 19, 1935, in Winston County to Garland Grover Cleghorn and Ruby Welch Cleghorn. He was a very caring, helpful person, loved the unlovable and always showed mercy and grace. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who helped lots of people. He enjoyed farming, golf, Alabama football and his Dog, Riley.
Preceding him in death were his wife Ivanelle; his parents; brothers, James, Neal, Leon and Kenneth Cleghorn; a sister, Betty Williams; two grandchildren, Hayley Cleghorn and Kelly Thomas and a daughter-in-law, Marie Cleghorn.
Survivors include his sons, Dennis Cleghorn, David Cleghorn (Melinda) and Darin Cleghorn (Deanna); daughters, Donna Cleghorn, Deborah Boucher (Victor) and Delilah Bonner (Jimmy); brother, Wayne Cleghorn (Joan); sisters, Alice Wooline (Steve) and Gayle Roland; 12 grandchildren; 35 greatgrandchildren; and 21 greatgreat-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kris Dodd, Jamie Bonner, Evan Cleghorn, Nicholas Cleghorn, Neely Kirby and Logan Barkley.
