Billy “Bill” Downs

Hartselle Funeral service for Billy “Bill” Downs, 66, was Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Bell Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Downs passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, at his residence. He was born March 5, 1958, in Morgan County, to Olen Houston Downs and Betty Ruth Eason Downs.

He was employed as a painter, deeply loved his family and was very close to his three sisters and his brother. He enjoyed football “Roll Tide” and was very interested in United States current events. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his daughter, Britney Taylor; brother, Michael McNutt; sisters, Ruthie Stinson, Joy Stinson (Wayne Stinson) and Connie Nipper and a host of grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, that he loved dearly.

Pallbearers will be K.J. Stinson, Austin Lindley, A.J. Robinson, Clay Gardner, Tim Davis and Drew Stinson.
