Madgie Inez Brown

Somerville Funeral service for Madgie Inez Brown, 83, will be Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Valhermoso Holiness Church with Bro. Tim Patrick and Bro. Rusty Wilkerson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Valhermoso Holiness Cemetery.

Mrs. Woodard passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at her daughter’s residence. She was born June 1, 1941, in Morgan County, to James Thomas Brown and Madgie Mae Barber Brown. She was a member of the Valhermoso Springs Holiness Church and was employed by Automatic Electric as an assembly line worker, prior to her retirement.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Richard Woodard, her parents, one son, Charles A. Woodard; four brothers, Derrell, James H., Johnny, and Jackie Brown and a sister, Mary K. Ellenburg.

Survivors include her daughters, Delitha Madewell (Charles) and Audry Worley (Langston); sisters, Betty Faye Edwards, Frances Bonds and Virginia Raburn; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Woodard, Devin Madewell, Brandon Madewell, Juan Worley, Abel Worley and Dewayne Speegle.
