Prep football picks: Region play comes early

Week Zero had many highlights for local teams and a few heartbreakers. A couple of teams will open region play this week, looking to set the pace in their region. Also, this week, there are two colossal county rivalries: Priceville at Brewer and Decatur at Austin. Hartselle looks to bounce back from their double overtime loss to Austin.

The prep football picks return for a second season during the high school football season. Hartselle Enquirer’s sportswriter Russell Frye, along with Dakota Stewart and Priceville Bulldogs sports guru John Keahy, return for year number two. Decatur’s Nick Belovsky joins the picks team this season.
