A visitation for Ruth A. Turrentine, 82, will be Peck Funeral Home from 6:00 PM 8:00 PM on Saturday, August 24, 2024 with Peck Funeral Home assisting. Burial will be in Simmons Cemetery in West Virginia.

Mrs. Turrentine passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at her residence. She was born September 13, 1941, in West Virginia, to William Thomas Deel and Pauline Lucille Bullis Deel.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who never met a stranger and treated everyone the same, always friendly. She had a big heart and never turned anyone away. Mrs. Turrentine loved going to church, gospel singing and her family. She was employed by Wal-Mart Supercenter working in retail and stocking, prior to her retirement.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Edward Turrentine, her parents. brothers: Don and Steve Deel, a sister: Rosemary Detweiler, and children: Frank Starcher and Billy Wayne Turrentine, and grandchildren: Burly Webb, Jr., Ralph Frederick Starcher and Steven Edward Turrentine.

Survivors include her sons, Ed Turrentine and Ricky Turrentine; daughters, Sherry Brooks and Tina Webb; brother, David Deel; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
