Sharon Lynn Chaney

Funeral service for Sharon Lynn Chaney, 75, will be Friday, August 23, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Culbreath officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Mrs. Chaney passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024 at her residence. She was born January 4, 1949, in Illinois, to William E. Orr and Pauline W. Orr.

She was employed by General Motors, working in assembly, and was very active in her local Union, prior to her retirement. She also worked at Helen Keller for 10 years and enjoyed all of her friends from there. She loved her kids and grandkids dearly and also loved her Auburn Tigers. Her parents preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Roger Chaney; daughters, Angie Strickland, Lori Sharer (Joshua), Kim Sizemore (Todd) and Suzie Dellinger (Drew); grandchildren, Adam Strickland, Will Chaney, Whitney Sharer, Haley Schaefer, Abbie Sizemore, Jasper Sharer, Curtis Dellinger and John Dellinger.

Pallbearers will be her sonsin-law and grandsons.
