Cathy Holloway Gardner
Decatur Funeral service for Cathy Holloway Gardner, 87, was held Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stanley Reeves officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Friendship (South of Danville). Mrs. Gardner died on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at her residence. She was born March 8, 1937, in Cullman County, to Doug Holloway and Irene Roberts Holloway.
She was the loving wife and mother of seven children, grandmother of 13 grandchildren and was a homemaker. She went to Family Worship Center, Church of God of Prophecy and loved her church family and friends, flowers and cooking.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Bill Gardner; a daughter, Judy Hasting; her parents, Doug and Irene Holloway; two brothers, Donnie Holloway and Wayne Holloway and a great-grandchild, Jackson Watson.
Survivors include her sons, Billy Gardner, Rickie Gardner (Gessa) and Daniel Gardner (Norma); daughters, Vickie Pinion and Jena Sandlin Amanda Woodall; sisters, Anne Raley and Pam Self (Jerry); 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mike Hollaway, Robbie Hollaway, Richie Hollaway, Jason Self, Austin Marham and Jose Gardner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Raley and Jim Raley. Family wishes to extend special thanks to Decatur Health and Rehab and to Hospice of the Valley.
