Gloria Braswell Lansdell

Funeral service for Gloria Braswell Lansdell, 86, will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Carroll officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. Mrs. Lansdell passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born October 18, 1937, in Tennessee, to Omer James Braswell and Gussie Hilda Hamilton Braswell. Gloria was married to Leslie Wayne Lansdell until his passing in June 2012. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and a lifelong resident of Morgan County. She worked as a cook at Summerford Nursing Home before retiring. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed going out to eat and listening to music. Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; her brother, James Braswell; and her sisters, Linda, Jacklyn, Rose Mary and Wiladean. Survivors include her sons, Leslie A. (Tony) Lansdell and Larry Wayne Lansdell; daughter, Melanie Moore; sister, Kathy Braswell; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
