Hartselle Hart Walk ribbon cutting set for Friday

By Staff Reports

The highly anticipated Hartselle Hart Walk, a new one-mile walking trail through downtown, will be unveiled Friday at 11 a.m. during a ribbon cutting event. The event will kick off at 11 a.m. at the trail’s starting point near the gazebo by Life Church parking lot, right at the entrance to Hartselle’s historic downtown.

Designed to promote heart health and low-impact exercise, the Hart Walk was spearheaded by local community leaders and health advocates. The trail not only encourages fitness but is also expected to increase foot traffic to downtown businesses.
The initiative, spearheaded by community leaders and health advocates, received a financial boost from Cullman Regional Medical Center earlier this year, committing $1,500 annually to sponsor the project, project spokesperson Jesi Livingston said.

Lori Bates, Director of Cullman Regional Physician Services, said CRMC is proud to sponsor the Hart Walk and promote healthy living.

“Making a healthy habit like walking even more enjoyable with the chance to see and shop our downtown businesses is a great idea. We’re so proud to have had the opportunity to help develop and now sponsor the Hartselle Hart Walk and hope everyone enjoys it,” Bates said.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will mark the official opening, inviting seasoned walkers and casual strollers alike to participate. Organizers hope the Hart Walk will inspire residents to adopt healthier habits while enjoying the charm of Hartselle’s historic downtown.

The community is invited to attend this special event and take steps toward better health together.
